PHOTOGRAPHY LESSON - 1:1 In Person OR Via Zoom
I am excited to be offering 1:1 photography lessons (In person option is available if you live in Newcastle - just enquire below)
The intent of this offering is to provide a tailored teaching experience that is 100% specific to your needs.
You may:
Be just starting out and want to learn the basics of photography
Have an understanding of the basics and want to learn more about a specific type of photography - Surf, Landscape, Brand Lifestyle, Products or Family Shoots
Have been photographing for a while and are thinking about starting to do some paid work as a side project
Be ready to quit your job and go all in on Photography as a career
I have lived all of these things above over that last 7 years. I had a very safe, well paid, corporate job that I left, with no safety net, to pursue my dream of being a full time photographer.
Along the way, I had to learn everything myself, trawling through YouTube videos and Google searches to try and find the specific answers I was after, only to find a lot of the information was not relevant to what I wanted.
Apart from Photography itself, my biggest passion is teaching and so I have created this offering to help you shortcut the unnecessary searching for answers across any aspect of photography as either a hobby or a potential business.
You may have found me through my photography of the ocean, but in addition I have run a full time Lifestyle Branding Photography business for the past 5 years. Shooting images for a variety of clients websites, social media and print media.
I also run a Family Photography business and have worked with hundreds of families over the past 7 years.
Whatever style of Photography you are interested in and whether you just want to take nice photos as a hobby or you want to turn it into something that can make money, I can almost guarantee I have asked and had to seek answers for any questions you have.
And I would love to be able to help you on your journey.

PHOTO EDITING - LIGHTROOM - 1:1 In Person OR Via Zoom
Something I tell all new photographers is that there is no consumer camera that is as complex as the human eye. So even to get an image back to how you saw it with your own eyes at the time, you will require some amount of post editing.
Have you ever looked at a scene and then taken a photo of it only for it to not look as nice as you saw it. The shadows were too dark or the nice sky was now blown out and too bright?
This is where editing comes in - there will be a small amount of editing required with every image and then once you learn the basics it is then up to your own artistic creativity how much more you want to do in editing.
Learning to edit your photos will give you more enthusiasm and excitement to go out and take photos as you will now know how you can adjust them when you get home to look just as amazing as what you saw at the time :)
